UP North Michigan
During the time of COVID it is a time to explore the state you live in. So I took a trip UP NORTH Michigan to see some amazing things. This included a visit to the Soo Locks To see the rising and lowering of the Great Lake 1000 foot freighters moving product around the Great Lakes. Tahquamenon Falls to see the waterfall surrounded by the amazing fall colors. Mackinaw City to see the Mighty Mackinac Bridge a 5 mile long suspension bridge connecting lower Michigan to the UP of Michigan. Then on to Mackinac Island for a short stay in the Grand Hotel and the Longest porch in the world at 660 feet and lined with rocking chairs the entire length. A visit to Fort Mackinac founded in 1780 as a military outpost and see the 6 pound canon still firing.
